Sigh, and here I am, getting frowned upon if I want to pull any higher than 6k...

As an offtopic note, if anybody wants to send any vibes my way please do - I'm having the awfulest, cruelest, meanest summer exam and I've been up 20 hours already... :)

Myself and another guy who is experiened at CRW got out at 11k last weekend and pulled. The plan was for him to bump me on the butt with his canopy and then I was supposed to wrap my feet around his A lines. He ended up chasing me around the sky for the entire jump. My canopy was just too fast for him to catch me. And if I sat in breaks or on rear-risers, I just floated around while he kept sinking away.

But I've got to say that sub-terminal opening at full altitude is pretty damn interesting!!!

Even if you're by yourself, altitude clear and pulls make great jumps. You can really work on canopy control (flat turns, climbing turns, rear riser stuff, front riser stuff, canopy warps, etc), nevermind they're really fun to do at sunset.

There's a group of us at my DZ that love doing those, especially at sunset. Sometimes we'll do CReW, sometimes we'll just fly in a really tight formation without picking up docks and sometimes we'll "dog fight." Its all fun.B|

You might want to look for a more experienced CRW dawg then. I have no problems docking my 136 @ 1.4 on things from a Crossfire2 129 at 1.7+ to a Sabre 150 at .9 to Sabre2 230's at about .9:1. Its not comfy to be in that situation, but it can be done.

If you were pulling away at 1.2 on a 170 then one of two things was going on... either you were out gliding (different then out driving) the other person and this might be due to them being on a canopy like a 7 cell, or they were too lightly loading their own canopy. But I've never seen any of the really good CRW dawgs not be able to chase some one down if they are in the same ballpark on canopies and loadings.
Yesterday is history
And tomorrow is a mystery
