riggerrob 643 #5 February 7, 2004 When teaching basic freefall body position to junior jumpers, start with hip position and work your way outboard. Mention fingers last. As for teaching exits: start with them hanging off the strut. Have them practice hanging off the strut, then "back" them into the airplane in a series of steps to show them the whole process. This reverse-chaining will involve a lot of demonstration followed by the junior jumper practicing, followed by more demonstration ... that whole whole-part-whole teaching method. Near the end of your lecture on exits, start chaining the process forward with the junior jumper climbing out slowly, step-by-step.
