BlindBrick 0 #1 September 20, 2004 I remember seeign a news blurb a few months back that the FAA had finally approved a soviet aircfraft for regular use inthe US. Does anybody remember which one it was? All I remember was that ti was built by a former sattelite coutnry and was a 8 place tailgater. I'd appreciate any info as I'm curious if this would be a feasible jumpship. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." GroundZero 0 #2 September 21, 2004 sounds like an an-28 you're describing, but I have no idea about certification here. Chris

The Poles just got a TC for the M28 Skytruck which is based off the An-28. Thanks for the info. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." mr2mk1g 10 #4 September 21, 2004 Looks like a very cool jumpship. Kinda like a fat otter with a twin tail plane. It's built for STOL, takes 20 jumpers, is FAA rated, runs PT6 powerplants, has a tailgate and fast climb rate... hmmm.... Wonder how much they are... or I guess I wonder how much they're going to be in 5-10 years time when they quit running execs and cargo? The avioncis though look a bit... how shall I say - "advanced", by comparison to the average jump plane though... http://www.addison-aircraft.com/site/skytruck/homepage_files/sales01.htm
