kallend 2,146 #54 September 23, 2004 QuoteHey, guys? (and gals) The photographers make their living off of those pictures. If they posted nice bright high-resolution ones on the web, people would download them and they would get nothing. Getting to the skill level to jump on bigway as video/photo is very expensive and time consuming. As a Shutterfly photographer myself, I would suggest you purchase a copy of the photo/formation you are interested in a smaller size (5 X 7). If you don't like it, Shutterfly has a money back guarantee, and it's fast as lightening. If you do like it, get a 20 X 60! Cheers! There's a difference between a hi-res picture that can be downloaded and printed (obviously they want to avoid this) and a picture in which you can at least see what's going on but isn't print quality. Tony Hathaway manages to put up pretty nice clear pictures on his web site that aren't of printable quality. I wouldn't order anything from shutterfly that I can't see well enough on my screen to know if I want it. I already spent $105 on prints from OB - I'd STILL like to see decent pictures on the web.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
