Never been, two questions

Recommended Posts

I'm going skydiving for the first time tomorrow in new zealand...totally excited, but two questions... one, can you still jump if it's raining out? and two, i'm on prozac, do I need like a doctor's note or something to go? Haha, that second one's a doozy...thanks all

in new zealand you will not be jumping if it is raining.
There are only a couple of dropzones that are allowed and will jump through cloud.
If you are going to mercer the weather there usually blows over and you will find that libby will keep you there waiting for that to happen. I imagine you will be doing your tandem though in taupo or queenstown. In taupo itt is generally a nice place and gets some really good weather, nice place to jump.
Queenstown gets retrticted to with the weather but if you can not jump there on the day i advise you to wait around a couple of days as this is the most awesome place i have ever jumped anywhere.
If it is raining in fox glacier, it will be raining hard but i have been told that it is amazing there jumping. I think the best places for you to to do a tandem are glenorchy, qeenstown , nelson, taupo and of course my dz mercer. if you are at any of these dropzones and your jump is called off because of the weather, hang around for a couple of days as the views and the experience at these dz's are priceless.
This message is me presuming you are travelling nz.
Hope you enjoy it and i would love to hear where you are jumping and how it went.
