matthewcline 0 #1 December 10, 2004 Hey all this will get better exposure here; The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) "Screaming Eagles" Parachute Demonstration Team at Ft. Campbell Kentucky has 2 opennings on its 2005 Demonstration Team. Interested soldiers in the Army need to be either assigned to or on orders for Ft. Campbell, obtain a letter of release from their battalion, and pass the 2 week selection to begin the 90 day probation. On the Team jumpers will make 400 to 600 jumps annually. 50 of those jumps will be Demonstrations in LEVEL 2/Stadium landing sights. Jumpers will have the opertunity to earn the Freefall Coach Rating, Static Line Instructor Rating, Tandem instructor Rating and the PRO Demonstrator Rating. Jumpers will jump from; C-182's, UH-60's, CH-47's, C-130's, C-141's, C-17's and all other civilian skydiving aircraft. matthewcline 0 #4 December 10, 2004 AH Brother remember the "Pukin' Buzzards" happened to help start the dope on a rope trend that was so popular in the 40's! The Team has existed since 1958. It was a part time team that ran out of the now defunct Sport Parachute Activity. In '86 it became a full time team that worked 7 days a week at planning and perfoming demonstrations (along with all its own in house FJC's and Progression). The 101st Team has only closed ops for 2 occasions, '90/'91 for DS and '03 to mid '04 for OIF 1. MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
