Go for it!!!! How expensive it is all depends on what you choose to do, AFF will be a lot more expensive than Static line. Sorry but im not sure on the exact prices. You need under 230 pounds for most dropzones. And also probably in decent shape.

Well ove the last year i have been debaiting if i wana try it or not. so i figure what is better than asking the ppl that do it. HOW expensive is it? And What kind of shape must you be in?

you might get biased opinions here ya know. i agree--- go for it! i was in your place for the longest-- and now feel like i wasted 5 years. okay, maybe not that bad, but i do focus on the weather more. just do a tandem and see what ya think! in my case, i just wanted to experience one jump (tandwem of course)... but i didn't waste any time getting my second and signing up for lessons!!

If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off!

As addictive and more expensive than shooting heroine!:|;)
Try it, if you like it, go for it.
I doubt you'll find to many people on this forum telling you it's not worth it...

You could try flying and get into aerobatics... but that way you're only sure to get a rush when you mess up and the horizon turns to a blur.

Both activities become as expensive as you can afford... which is why I don't use a credit card for either.

Jumping offers somethings that aviation just can't, though... so go for it... try it more than once and see if the lifestyle fits.

I went to that website but got bored with it before figuring out what it was... but from what i gather, it's a fitness website. I can't speak for the school closest to you, so you might want to check... but mine had no problem with me at 100 lbs/5'4.... just added weight to the tandem master :)
The money?... yeah, you're on your own there!
i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce

I wish there were more places around here to climb. I live in houston and it's sooo flat. We have rock gyms but how boring! I used to live further west/central and there were tons of places around perdenales... then one of our favorite spots flooded big time cuz it floods here and this spot was the lowest in the area. i thought it would be a great idea to jump now/climb later but it was such a bad idea and was NOTHING like jumping into a really tall pool. i was the first to go since it was my great idea... so i was the only one w/ a hurt tailbone afterwords. to be fair, this was in highschool so i hadn't taken physics yet (and probably wouldnt have made a difference anyway). :P 80ft drop is NOTHING now! take care.

you have to pay to play!! if you go skiing you pay for ski's and lift tickets and ski clothes and a room at the lodge ect, ect scuba diving is the same dive computers tanks fins lessons chartering a boat. with skydiving you will have the ability to meet a community. people in this sport will find a way to get you in the air if you want to jump and you will find that once you make that first jump that you can afford this activity after all. one jump on the weekend and all you problems that week just melt away.
You must be fast cause you were flying when I past you
