s.t.e.f 0 #1 December 21, 2004 What think of the watches Suunto altimeter for parachuting? And which model preferably, apart from the price?cio stef
Merkur 1 #2 December 21, 2004 I use the Suunto X6 hrm. As far as I know, this is the only model from Suunto, having a button lock. So it can't accidently switch back to the time or any other display. It is quite accurate - I set it to zero in the morning and during the day I stay +- 50 feet around 0. Some friends use the Vector and they like it. So I think it's just about your personal design preference or if you want to see your heartrate in freefall - which you can do with the X6hrm. Just keep in mind that Suunto says in all of their manuals, that they do not reccomend their watches for skydiving!!! MvSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! This is the problem I have when I use my Suunto Vector while doing RW - there have been a few times when I looked and notice that it was 2pm (which begs the question - what time will my Cypress fire at)_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... AndyMan 7 #5 December 21, 2004 I use one you haven't listed - the Vector. It works well. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
