freakbrother 0 #1 January 3, 2005 Steve March's sister contacted me asking about the possibility of an ash dive for him. He was an old time skydiver at Sandwich and Hinckley. She doesn't know any current skydivers. Does anyone here remember him?. . www.freak-brother.com
JeffSkydiver 0 #2 January 4, 2005 It shouldn't matter whether anyone knew him if his family wants an ash dive. For years I have been on the American Legion Honor Guard. When the family of a deceased veteran wants a funeral home and/or graveside service we care not whether anyone knew the deceased. If you are contacted, then you should do your best to round up some volunteers at your DZ and do the thing. If you were intending to do that anyway and was just hoping to include some jumpers that knew the deceased, then my apologies to you for presuming otherwise. Blessings to you, his family and all who help you out. jt* Let's all do this safe enough that we can still do this in our 90's.

EricaH 0 #4 January 4, 2005 I don't know him, but jump @ hinckley & will forward your requst on to some of the old timers. Shall I give them an e-mail address of yours at which to contact you or his sister? You could PM me the specifics. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. tigra 0 #6 January 4, 2005 Would that be Cowboy? Can someone please let us know what happened? Jeff, if this is the person I think it is, he had many friends in the sport who would be honored to participate in an ash dive, but it would seem that he distanced himself from his skydiving family over the past few years. bsbd Steve. May you find peace where ever you are.

She doesn't know any current skydivers. Does anyone here remember him? I am shocked to hear about his passing. I had jumped with Steve years ago when I lived in Illinois and before moving to Florida. We even did a few demos together as part of the Pegasus Skydiving Team many years ago. He was a good guy and a very skilled skydiver. I would appreciate any details about what happened. tigra 0 #9 January 7, 2005 I really don't know much. I heard he died at home alone at the end of November- I don't know the cause and don't feel its appropriate to speculate here. His sister contacted the Freak Brother website after finding a card among his belongings. Very sad. He was by all accounts one hell of a skydiver.
