grlsgotalot2lrn 0 #1 February 17, 2005 Tax return is on the way, and I'm going to use a chunk of it to resume aff.. I chose to do my 4 jumps at the dz closest to home. I've only been able to "virtually" tour other drop zones and was wondering if I should stay at my current drop zone, or possibly do aff at another in the area? I was really impressed with my home dz (AFFI Pete L. was great), but would I really know the difference? Does anyone have any experience/advice on dz's in the carolinas? I work many weekend days(i know - Change jobs!), so one that is open during the week would be even better.
Squeak 17 #2 February 17, 2005 if you're in the carolinas talk to DaGimp, KatieBear or SkyMonkeyOne, they are in that part of the world I thinkYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! jheadley 0 #3 February 17, 2005 Check out Adrenaline Air Sports, it's in Jonesville, which is not too far from Charlotte. It's a very nice small cessna dropzone with a beautiful view, and great people. It's a great place for students. PM me if you are interested or have any questions. darkwing 5 #4 February 17, 2005 I'd say unless you have a reason to think that there is a deficiency where you were at, then you should stay there. I'm certainly not aware of any problems at Chester, nor is anyone else here that I have ever heard. Going to other DZs is easier and more fun, once you have your license. As said above though, there are several fine DZ's in NC/SC. Come to mine when you get a chance. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
John4455 0 #5 February 17, 2005 Quoteso one that is open during the week would be even better. You can jump in chester during the week! I plan on going there tommorrow. You do need to call in advance and schedule though. Call and talk to James or Judy. Look me up if you come back. (I hope that you will) Blue Stuff, Johnny How do ya like it Johnny? riggerrob 643 #6 February 17, 2005 Best to stay at your original DZ until you graduate from student status. Every DZ has a slightly different training program and switching programs halfway through will only confuse you and your instructors. At a minimum, a new school will ask you to repeat a level or two.
