Scrumpot 1 #26 March 15, 2005 QuoteYou have to buy something from a seller to give feedback. See, like I said, I'm not even a member. Shows what I know. I just notice on there he seems to have a fairly (and correct me if I'm also WRONG here too) "positive" seller feedback rating, no? He's CLEARLY UNETHICAL in his representation of at least THIS merchandise, and that can be also CLEARLY (I think) shown. Even to a Whuffo (like the management of Ebay). I would think that SOMEHOW Ebay would be concerned enough about this, if presented to them in SOME fashion appropriately (and succinctly) to take SOME sort of action on it. But then again, maybe not. -Grantcoitus non circum - Moab Stone

teason 0 #31 March 15, 2005 I think this guys is making up a bullshit story to sell a used junk canopy to whuffos. It may be the reserve that was sold origionally and found to be unairworthy and sent back to the seller. The sad thing is, he may have come across accident photos (I've seen them in the wrong hands before) and someones tragedy is being exploited to sell a conversation peice. Maybe someone we know I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

Casurf1978 0 #33 March 16, 2005 He's sold other skydiving gear for cheap too, e.g., AltiMaster II for 30 bucks a Falcon 150 or 190 for $152. Where's he getting this stuff from? Other things he has sold look like junk items: hacking software, rip off t-shirts, old fax machines, ect.

Did you say that YOU PRINTED THIS > CHUTE, which then KILLED YOUR "FRIEND" somehow (total mystery to you what > happened-- MAYBE SOMETHING YOU DID TO THE MATERIAL?!?!?)... and now, this > poor schmuck who appears to have celebrated a lifetime of questionable > judgment (including ALCOHOLISM, EXTREME SPORTS WITH IMPROVISED AND > TAMPERED EQUIPMENT WHICH WAS OBVIOUSLY INADEQUATE-- AS WAS HIS TRAINING, > IF HE PULLED THE WRONG CORD-- AND MOST OF ALL, RISKING HIS LIFE USING > ANYTHING MADE BY SELF-EXCUSING JACKASSES LIKE YOURSELF WHO CAN'T WAIT TO > RINSE HIS "FRIEND'S" BLOOD OFF OF THE BOTCHED PARACHUTE YOU KILLED HIM > WITH, AND THEN TRY TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS OFF OF IT IN THE GHOULS-N-GOTHS > UNDERGROUND MARKET!!! MY GOD!!! ARE THERE MANY LIKE YOU, IN THE MUDDY > PIT OF HELL YOU MUST HAVE CRAWLED YOUR SLIMEY WAY OUT OF? LET'S SEE IF > YOU POST THIS COMMENT, YOU MENTAL MIDGET WITH THE SHRIVELED SOUL!!! To which he replied: yes, you are right... we both printed it together. dropoutdave 0 #37 March 16, 2005 This guy gets more fucked up by the minute! Someone asked: "Q: so did the reserve open did your friend cut the main away what happend if ya dont mind me asking is the reserve chute in good working order Answered on Mar-15-05 A: No, he did not cut away the main. Somehow he got confused in the air and first pulled the reserve. The main, of course, stayed in the container, but since the reserve was pulled first, that was the only chance. Had he tried to pull the main, it would have either gotten tangled or just completely ejected. I am not sure if he thought about that, but there were no signs that he had even tried to touch the main handle. He should have had plenty of time, he jumped from 11,000 ft and planned on pulling at 4,500 ft. The weird thing was, when he got to the ground, his pants were unzipped, his arms somehow out of the sleeves in this wind breaker and his windbreaker unzipped. I know for a fact that when he jumped, all was in tact. He was still secured in the rig. It was strange. The weirdest part was the fact the in his wallet, a peice of paper in his handwriting had this written, "rioverua", which is backwards in french for Goodbye -au revoir. i personally wouldn't use this canopy. sharimcm 0 #38 March 16, 2005 Ok this is my last post on this subject. Read below and think to yourself, if the jumper was to be jumping over fields, which who knows what would be in those fields, why would there be bystanders around to take pictures (in open fields) and how would they know to send those pictures to the schmuck selling the canopy? You asked: "Does your friend have a name? What DZ did the accident happen? When did it happen? You keep dodging the questions that everyone wants to know..." I am not going to have everyone looking him up and going to the family and harrasing them about his choice. I said previously, it was not a jump location, a friend has a flying license. They always went over fields of his uncle "I had a dude tip his black cowboy hat to me after I provided him with a condom outside my hotel room at 3-something in the morning." -myself
FlyinNover 0 #39 March 16, 2005 Quote This guys needs also to have a few (nad VALID) NEGATIVE e-bay ratings submissions added to his profile. I am not personally even an e-bay member. Otherwise, I'd be happy to add one! Does he REALLY think he is fooling people? Unfortunately, you need to complete a transaction with him before you can leave feedback. On the other hand, he already *does* have a few negative feedbacks, mostly for mis-representing the items he's selling. Can a rigger PM me? I have a question about this that I don't want to put in the forums.
FlyinNover 0 #40 March 16, 2005 Quote I just notice on there he seems to have a fairly (and correct me if I'm also WRONG here too) "positive" seller feedback rating, no? His feedback rating of 88.7% positive is actually terrible. Reputable sellers typically don't go below 97 or 96%, and even that is rare. Most are 98 or 99. (I'm at 100%. ) Think about it, 6 out of 53 people didn't give him positive. That's pretty bad. I guess even Ebay has its TROLLS.
GTAVercetti 0 #41 March 16, 2005 I just went to his sites: k-ks.com The address used there is in Jenison, MI A google search of kiaeneto reveals 3 pages, k-ks.com, kiaeneto.com and this page: http://members.fortunecity.com/kiaeneto/software.html Which is a site to buy guides on how to hack as well as fake credit card numbers. The address for this site is in Grandville, MI. The distance between Jenison and Grandville? 1.6 miles This guy is a scam artist. He is hoping to get more money by saying the item is involved in a death. Luckily, it is backfiring. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. colossus 0 #43 March 16, 2005 Just a dumb question... and the far fetched possibility that this is real (which I highly doubt). So the guy says that they were just jumping into a field from another friends plane, and one of em bit the bullet... would the FAA not have gotten involved due to the fact that someone died while jumping from a plane... and to top it off... would not some wuffo news reporter hear this and make a big stink of how dangerous this was? peregrinerose 0 #45 March 16, 2005 I actually sent the link to that auction to the FAA. I also told the seller that I did that, since he so adamantly stuck to his story that a non commercial pilot flew jumpers into a non jumpzone with reserve canopies modified and packed by a non rigger. I doubt serial numbers 1 and 2 would be sold to the public. I don't think most manufacturers of anything start sales with serial 001 anyway.
