kefran 0 #1 June 7, 2005 Hi there, due to some pre-skydive sports (sk8board etc ...) my knees are now finished, so i am used to jump with a knee support on my left leg. Last Friday i was jumping with a coach for working some tricks. Unfortunately, on this day i forgot my knee support, even worst i wasn't wearing my freefly pants but a simple short. at the moment i let the plane go i lost any ability to control myself in the air, my left leg was doing nothing but floating without any power ... i felt from 13500 to 5500 without being stable for more than 3 seconds finally at 5500 (our break-off altitude) i succeeded a good track and opened safely, the second part of the jump was ok but i landed on my butt, my leg being too weak to support me while landing ... The next day, i did the very same jump, WEARING my knee support and pants : everything was just fine ! so if you are, like me, wearing some support to your legs or arms : don't forget to wear them when you have an important jump to perform ... (or at least don't choose a coach with a camera on his helmet )-------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !
