jannu 0 #1 June 11, 2005 Hey! What's the current record? As unofficial as they are... at the moment this one guy in Finland is doing his best... jump number 83 going on... He still has about 5 hours to go... and guess what... he's packing by himself ..that's something!!!
Feeblemind 1 #2 June 11, 2005 I might be incorrect, but I believe Jay did 547 in a 24 hour period. Fire Safety Tip: Don't fry bacon while naked
lisamariewillbe 1 #3 June 11, 2005 Okay I tried to do the math to figure out how he did that many in 24 hours. Were these hop and pops at a low altitude? I am assuming that he had rigs ready and that all he had to do was jump ship. What were the logistics of making this many?Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this

Jays record is outstanding and hats off to the technical aspects of being able to lift that many times.. Super coordination in aircraft and packing of the armada of rigs for Jay.. BUT that said I would be very interested in the total number of jumps by a single jumper in a 24hr perioid packing him/her-self.. Again taking NOTHING away from Jays record but that would be an outstanding feat: Turn around times of 10 min might be the fastest - 3 to 5min for a pack, 3 or so mintues to 2100 in a cessna, 1.5 to 2min to get back to start point... That is about 10min and assumes that you are packing right next to the runway..... Anybody know? The 10 min thinking would yeild a 24 hour total of 144 jumps Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

At first I thought this sounded like a recipe for some reserve rides, but then it occurred to me: Require that he also repack any reserves he uses. jannu 0 #8 June 11, 2005 Ok... so he finished.. 22h 14min 47 secs .... 96 jumps !!!!! All packed by himself. He had also said these were his last jumps... but never say never... I'd say this tops the 500+ "world record" as he really did pack himself... of course, 500+ jumps in one day is something really great too!!! Good point he had another hr to go to set a higher 24 hr pack/jump record. I'm guessing the dude got tired doing all that packing Congratulations to another Iron man stting another record. Not the same as Mr Jokes but a record all the same.Anyone know What kind of a plane this guy was using. I think Mr Stoke's record was set using turbine Porter's. R.I.P.
