Orange1 0 #1 June 2, 2005 I'm not sure if this is the right forum but it is a 'skydiving' discussion - mods please feel free to move to bonfire if that's appropriate! Someone sent me a video (too large to download here) of an elderly lady on a tandem, she had her mouth open.. and her false teeth went flying out. It doesn't LOOK like it's been doctored... I'm sure others here must have seen it - does anyone know if this is a genuine video??Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
bluepixel 0 #2 June 2, 2005 It's here: http://www.bodyflying.ch/video/videos_skydiv.htm -> flying teeth I don't know if it's real though, but it seems to be real.
jurgencamps 0 #3 June 2, 2005 I have seen a similar "incident" in Belgium. So it happens.
Guest #4 June 2, 2005 The block of instruction our tandem students receive covers it - dentures, retainers etc should stay on the ground or else they might go bye-bye. Doesn't mean the student will listen of course. You can have it good, fast, or cheap: pick two.
BillyVance 35 #5 June 2, 2005 I've seen it. It's real. Tandem-master had a wrist/hand mounted videocam. I've talked with the TM's son about it. It was hilarious, to say the least. jumpergirl 0 #6 June 2, 2005 My dad used to put his dentures in a pocket in his jumpsuit. He forgot one time and almost lost them in freefall. He didn't forget anymore after that. So yes, I certainly believe that video is real.
peregrinerose 0 #7 June 2, 2005 There's a guy at one DZ I jump at that lost a prosthetic eye in freefall Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

LilZilla 2 #10 June 3, 2005 I've heard one of those stories too. A cameraman was videoing a tandom and I believe it was an older dude on the tandom. Well anyway, his eye fell out and was bouncing around in his goggles. Betcha he was happy he bought a video for all his family and friends to see!!!
