udder 0 #1 June 19, 2005 Howdy Just changed to poised exits and was wondering about flipping over. Next stage is solo exit and on the last jump my instructor said my exit was good but i felt like i was at 45 deg on my back after stepping off. Am i just imagining this cause I have my head back? Is this the way it's meant to feel? Pete"In one way or the other, I'm a bad brother. Word to the motherf**ker." Eazy-E

Looking at the ground will tend to make you lean forward and possibly make you flip forward. Looking at the sky and not extending the legs enough may make you flip backward. Doing a poised exit is as simple as rotating your body 90 degrees, steping off to the side alittle and letting go. Watch the plane fly away as you exit and think of doing a nice relaxed arch. It will take a few seconds to get to terminal velocity, so just relax until you see your flat to the horizon. Have fun!
