Tonto 1 #1 July 18, 2005 I'm in Africa. It's a long way from the US. I order a component from a manufacturer, they bill my credit card and send the component. It's the wrong size. They apologise and send me the component again. Again, it's the wrong size. How long do you think is too long to solve this problem? Fedex gets here in less than a week. Is over half a year pushing it? tIt's the year of the Pig.
bob.dino 1 #2 July 18, 2005 In any other industry it'd be under 2 months, but I've had to adapt to the fact that the skydiving industry just doesn't work that way... so 2-4 months. Three Fedex shipments is three weeks, so all the rest of the time is time they have to rectify the problem. Every company makes mistakes. The difference is in how they deal with them. Squeak 17 #3 July 18, 2005 QuoteEvery company makes mistakes. The difference is in how they deal with them. Ture but they should NOT be making the same mistake consecutivly, they should have made CETAIN that the order was correct after the 1st muck up. I would be really annoyed if I were the boss and even more annoyed if I was Tonto. Over six months has demonstrated an large amount of patience on your part, assuming the component in question doesn't have to built custom for you, in which you should reasonably be looking at normal wait time X 1 plus wait time for rush order X 2, from the time you placed your order. Just my opinion, not redeemable for cash. For Great Deals on Gear
Tonto 1 #6 July 19, 2005 It's an off the shelf component. Seems though, that I may have the right part after all. Same part, different part numbers. I'll do a physical comparison this weekend. tIt's the year of the Pig.
mjosparky 4 #7 July 19, 2005 T, I wrote a check for a new jumpsuit on Jan. 14 of this year. I recieved it back for the third time last week. I ever sent them my old suit and said to make itreceived just like that one. I have only made a couple of jumps on it so I am not sure if it is right yet. It is a piss poor way to do business, but it seems like it is becoming more and more common. DanglesOZQld 0 #8 July 19, 2005 Sounds like my Sony 108 warranty repair. Two lots of parts have been ordered and the camera has been with the repairer since 27th of June. Was supposed to be an "urgent" job. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Cheap crap - will be looking at getting another brand in future. (5 out of ten Sony pc 108's have had to go back for warranty repair from our workplace alone!!) BSBD! -Mark. "A Scar is just a Tattoo with a story!!!"
