LawnDart21 0 #1 August 3, 2005 Something I will never understand about this place, or message boards in general. Why some people feel the need to whine about sour grapes in a public forum? Case in point, the "death game" post. IMHO That issue never should have found its way on this board the way it did. It was an issue between 3 people (Bettor, Bettee, and the Treasurer). Yet, it became (admittedly a rather amusing) public domain on this board and every skydiver with a pc from Thailand to the UK can now get a good laugh over someone's sour grapes while they eat their lunch. Why can't people settle thier problems the old fashioned way, in person? I'm not picking on this thread persay, there have been quite a few recently that I can think of, where a situation or issue concerned a select few people, yet they became dz.com threads and the result was like "gasoline on fire"...... My thought, some people are in this sport for themselves alone, and when they don't get their way, they figure if they cry the loudest, they'll get their way. And these threads are just that, someone trying to cry the loadest. -- My other ride is a RESERVE.

billvon 3,112 #5 August 3, 2005 >Why can't people settle thier problems the old fashioned way, in person? It's always easier to talk about someone behind their back than to their face. That's not new or old fashioned; that's been going on for a few thousand years now. Nowadays, it's easier to post to a bulletin board than gossip in the laundromat (or at the post office, or whatever.)

kelpdiver 2 #7 August 3, 2005 To the subject question - yes, because already the jails are overflowing with petty drug offenders. If we jailed every whiner....we'd all be in the pen or prison guards. Why not do this one beef in person - well, if you really thought that people were trying to kill you, seems like it's beyond the talking phase.

tigra 0 #9 August 3, 2005 Why single out the "death game" thread? I've seen more than one "I'm quitting the sport" thread! If they are started by cute girls, are they somehiow more acceptable? At least the death game thread was entertaining! (As opposed to pathetic attention seeking!)
