MNM604 0 #1 September 4, 2005 Girlfriend and I made a road trip to Olympia Washington and had to make a jump. We went to Kapowsin Air, currently located at the nearby Pierce County Airport, and were simply overwhelmed with the view. While we are still new the sport, it was the best view we have ever seen. The super otter was extremly fast, the air was crisp, Mt Ranier was still covered in snow, and the people were great. Talk about reasons to be in this sport. We were just about breathless for the remainder of the evening. Just had to share this most excellent day. If you get the chance, you must make the trip. Thanks Jessie -- you were great!!! sundevil777 102 #2 September 4, 2005 Ranier is always covered with snow. I was on a load in which the otter flew all the way over to the mountain on the way to altitude. I think it may have been before they had the more powerful engines installed, so it took longer to climb. Very cool to fly a couple hundred feet over a glacier's green summer borders at 7K.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
slug 1 #3 September 4, 2005 Hi MNM604 After jumping in Ks & tex the scenery around kapow is awsome. To the east of the DZ is the cascade mtn range. On a seven mt day besides ranier you can also se Mt St helens, twin sisters etc. Their all snow capped and make up part of the Pacific ring of fire. To the west you can also see puget sound and the olympic mtn range with more snow capped mtns. The DZ even has green grass yr round. Don't need AC and ca pack outside. We never cared for the very tall tree's but they do make a "beer line" for the swoopers. The bad news is it rains every day and the sun never shines ecept the day you were here so please don't move here R.I.P.

Well weather looked so bad people called and were suprised that we were jumping with Blue skies starting late morning. When I left after doing a number of tandem loads they were on the 8th or 9th load load I think. It looked nasty down south easterly though.. Wx should be good tiomorrow all over Westren WA though...
