marcandalysse 0 #3 September 9, 2005 Katsu and I shared a bottle of very good cold Sake at my trailer at zhills. He was visiting during the Lake Wales Swoop Competition a few months back. There was a Brasilian swooper with us too, and we talked in a combination of Japanese and Portugues, Alysse and I translating between the two. There are alot of people of Japanese descent in Brasil (including Alysse!)... He gave me some swoop stickers in Japanese that I wear on my helmet. They say 'Always downwind', and 'Don't get wet' or something like that. He also gave me a CD of some video he shot at Tokyo Skydiving Club. They do tandems out of helicopters. The cameraman likes to backfly underneath the tandem....hmmm...... I am always fascinated by the Japanese skydivers. It is an unusual activity for us in America, so even more so in a society as rigid and conformist as Japan. Plus it is really expensive, around US $50-70 a jump ticket! Very nice guy, and I hope to see him again soon. When I get home I will PM you his email address. It is something like 'katsulikesbeer@......'
