Should DZOs Be on the USPA BOD? (Was: [CSpenceFLY] . . . Skyride?)

Sorry, i was not implying you are gauging students. I just know some DZ's that will charge the student 75 dollars for a coach jump. This is Bullshit. In some cases i have told them i will jump with them free not even cover my slot. That's why its hard for some students to stay in the sport. What with Gear Rental, coach prices pack jobs etc etc etc.
I know people have to make a living out of the sport which is fair enough. But don't gauge the young ones. That's just my opinion, but then again i am slightly retarded:D

I guess we're lucky at our DZ. The DZO believes in helping new jumpers, and offers up free slots to coaches to jump with low-timers.

Which is awesome, pretty simular to what skyfest is all about. Giving money to students that get their slot and the coaches slot paid for. This year was the first year i believe Jay went out of the state of Texas to help with a student. Maybe more DZ's should look into the skyfest program
