NWFlyer 2 #3 October 18, 2005 It would help if we knew what kind of skydive you are planning to do (tandem, AFF, static line/IAD)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
IanHarrop 42 #5 October 18, 2005 if you hear any of the lines in this thread, laugh... they're only kidding! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1877583#1877583 Be prepared to be excited and scared and remember to have fun and breathe. Listen to your instructor "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

NWFlyer 2 #7 October 18, 2005 Quotetandem Call the dropzone where you plan to jump and ask them what to expect. They should give you information on how long the ground school/briefing will be, what to wear, and when you need to be there. Never done a tandem myself, so I can't tell you much about what it's like.
chaoskitty 0 #8 October 18, 2005 Expect to be nervous and excited.. expect it to be fast and windy.. remember that the more you smile in freefall.. the less your cheeks flap in the wind. It will be the coolest think you ever do. Get video... you will want to relive it.
azureriders 0 #9 October 18, 2005 dont wear a collared shirt and if the instructor gives you any hard time, giving you bullshit lines to scare you, just tell him you have a weak stomach and you hope that you dont puke on him, that should get his attention. Good Luck, you are going to love it
