efs4ever 3 #1 October 25, 2005 I'm moving toward getting a jump on my PC deployed from a Sigma Tandem rig. I finally packed it up and deployed the 44 Magnum pilot chute on the ground. A Paracommander in a sleeve packs very nicely in a Vector Sigma rig. The photos show the closing configuration and the pilot chute launch. The canopy is on L bar links on tandem risers. The weather is getting ripe for my first jump on the PC since 2003. I used to jump it in a B-4 conventional rig, but keeping a belly wart packed for only a few jumps a year is expensive. I like the idea of a Sky Hook, anyway. Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com
davelepka 4 #2 October 25, 2005 Picture two is great. I like how the guy is doing the 'duck and cover' routine for the spring loaded PC. "What the hell is that thing? It jumped out of the rig and tried to bite me."
Harksaw 0 #3 October 25, 2005 Be sure to let us know how the jump goes. I've wanted to jump a PC, and have been given the opportunity, but the little voice inside me kept saying "You know, there's a reason they don't make them like that any more! " I'd probably do it if I had modern 3-rings and a rectangular reserve.__________________________________________________ I started skydiving for the money and the chicks. Oh, wait. They're not dangerous, but it's necessary to be well trained; especially the landing. Para Commanders are very accurate and actually don't land that hard. I know, because I jumped one several times in 03 at my "meat missle" weight. Russell M.
