bch7773 0 #1 October 29, 2005 I got the idea from Aggiedave a long time ago. And finally got it done on my 400th last weekend! Originally, a buddy was going to dock on me wearing a turkey, so it would be a halloween/thanksgiving jump. But he couldn't get down to me, however you can still see his helmet in one of the pictures. I deployed with the pumpkin at 4k. Yeah and its a 92 sabre, so my neck hurt for the next few days. i pulled off the pumpkin under canopy and dropped it at about 1500. it really exploded when it hit. anyways, heres the pictures. They were taken by kansasskydiver. and they aren't centered perfectly because i was backsliding... but you try not backsliding wearing that getup. oh yes, it was 5 deg F at altitude. I am wearing 6 shirts and two pairs of pants in that photo. MB 3528, RB 1182

FrogNog 1 #5 October 30, 2005 Gorgeous job. Well done. I've been a fan of this particular AggieDave piece for some time, and I was going to try and redo it myself. A few things intervened: 1. I have been busy with work and parties . 2. I have been thinking about whether it might break my neck. My plan was to dehydrate a pumpkin with a Protec on the inside to lower the weight. (So much of it is water.) Anyway, I'm glad someone else did it and made it look as good as or better than I could. Well done! -=-=-=-=- Pull.

Oh, I see it now in the first photo. I skipped that one initially and went straight for the "pumpkin" shots. You guys are some weird birds...
AggieDave 6 #10 October 31, 2005 Right on! The Great Pumpkin flies again! That's one very different jump isn't it, and as you now know, pumpkins make you backslide. That's great that yall did another jump with a pumpkin.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mdrejhon 8 #11 November 1, 2005 QuoteHoly mouly...are those all landable fields under you? We've got that at Skydive Gananoque. Fortunately, I haven't landed out in a while. (I almost did last weekend -- but I made it back safely, fighting upwind back to the landing area. Had to lift my legs to reduce drag, and also loosen my chest strap and also spread apart my rear risers with my hands to maximize canopy surface area, just to get every last ounce of glide! Strong winds flying upwind, so I had to stay in full glide instead of brakes)
