dumb question

Recommended Posts

Seems like a couple of thinks, to me....
(1)Proximity to the ground when deploying
(2)Proximity to other objects when in freefall (and under canopy)
(3) Often tight landing area
(4) Time...... not much of it after you 'exit'

But as the other poster said.... thry the BASE forum too.

Yeap them too..

But there's some good bits, I'd think..
(1) No queue at manefest
(2) No waiting for all the Tandem loads before you get chance to jump>:(
(3) No reserve repack every 6 months(UK)/120 days(US) -
(4) etc

>Not the ones I know.

Well, I have about 4500 skydives, and one skydive put me in a wheelchair for a few months. I have 23 BASE jumps and one put me on crutches for a week. Statistically that probably says BASE jumping is a lot more dangerous, but YMMV.

My response was to someone who said ALL the base jumpers they knew limped... I agree BASE has more risk, but not all of them limp... Just most.:P

not all, but one evening I was in a pub with about 8 friends (all BASE'rs) and one guy who had decided to give up was talking to me, I said his reasons were understandable, and took a moment to look around, I then turned to him and said if you think about it all of us here this evening have metal work in our legs apart from you..............

and yes, I do limp.............. :P
