December Skydiving Mag Cover Photo?

Recommended Posts

CReW formations sink on the camera flyer
with smaller formations you can compensate by
flying a smaller canopy, wearing weights etc
with larger formations a device that allows you to
use leg power, is a lot easier than pulling on front risers for
several minutes.

Can anyone explain the purpose of that setup used by Bryan Scott in the cover photo? Described as a ..."Foot-controlled front-riser contraption to film a CRW jump"...

Even though it says "front riser" I believe it is actually set up to control the rear risers. Look at the pic, as well as common sense might dictate that one would need to "float" not dive their canopy for an extended period of time. Disclaimer: I am NOT a CReW dog!!!

It's for front risers. CRW formations sink.

Yes, and Bryan Scott and Tom Plonka do not jump small heavily loaded canopies, and they're not exactly young guns either. ;) Bryan does have quite a big helmet, but it's been altered significantly to custom fit his camera gear.
