stratostar 5 #1 December 22, 2005 I have been skydiving for 24 yrs now and for the last 11 of those I have been at it full time durring the summer season and NEVER have I made enough money to buy med.ins., sometimes I can't even afford a fun jump, but I don't live in the getto and eat ramon noodles and P&J everyday. Bills come first! So as many people have said in a nother thread those of us like me who don't have it are some kind of scumb bag and a burdin to the rest of the world due to your high cost of med. ins. I would like to know how many full time skydivers really have ins. For the record I have one been hurt once and it was minor and I paid my bill ! Yes I know the risk's I take and have taken for so many years, however unlike so many in todays crowd I don't fly with my head up my ass and take stupid chances just to look cool ! If your not a FULLTIME SKYDIVER then don't vote! ~you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

weegegirl 2 #3 December 22, 2005 Ever since I've "only" skydived for a living, I've paid my own insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield... just over $100 a month, and great coverage. Plus, if something does go wrong, God forbid!, it will cost a LOT more than that.
Andrewwhyte 1 #4 December 22, 2005 I live in Canada. We all have health insurance. My employees also get suplemental insurance and workers compensation insurance even though we are not a `big ass drop zone.`
