C licesne requirements

Recommended Posts

I was reading the SIMS, and it quote as part of the C requirements
"c. landed within two meters of target center on 25 jumps "

I was wondering, if this is indeed correct, and how many dropzones out there have a 2 meter target, or is this subjectivley open to the instructor willing to sign off on your accuracy?

3. Jumps to meet skill requirements must be signed by a USPA Instructor, Instructor Examiner, Safety & Training Advisor, or a member of the USPA Board of Directors.

This is from the SIM. It implies to me that those jumps made to meet the landing skill requirements do need to be signed by an instructor...

We have a target. The S&TA normally signs off as a matter of course on this requirement if the jumps are logged. However, he is there every day and knows how everyone's accuracy is. He probably took most everyone applying for a C license on there first jump and has been watching them ever since. It not beyond him to ask someone to go hit the peas on their very next jump though. I presume he keeps this trick for the ones that come in with 25 accuracy jumps logged but mud all over their jumpsuits from landing off the airport too many times…if you know what I mean.

At our dropzone the target is 10 meters, for the accuracy testing. does yours have a two meter target? I just have never seen that.

We have a target, each person says how far they landed from it. It's pretty easy to walk off two big paces.

I have my C, that is correct. I have landed dead center enough times that I easily got the 25. My instructor saw enough that he comfortably signed off. However, if you must know, this discussion started with another person attempting for a C. That person logged in her book if she was in the taret (which is ten meters) but did not log in how close to center she was. Now, she is looking thru her book and asked if she needed to restart at the beginning since she didn't mark distance from center.
No where is my question did I say I didn't complete this part. I asked for clarification on how other dropzone recorded this.
I aks a question, and I am given a question back as an answer? that was helpful.
