Praetorian 1 #51 July 27, 2005 I was in that same position, after discussion with FF and RW orginizers I came to the conclusion if I'm 1/2 belly 1/2 FF I should go between the RW and FF groups, giving a little extra seperation to the last RW group infront of me... or I decided to pull a little high ~5k feet and went out last (except students or Tandems) Good Judgment comes from experience...a lot of experience comes from bad judgment. speedy 0 #52 July 27, 2005 A few peeps have posted questions about where newbies learning freefly should exit. Where I put them depends on lots of things. What sort of groups, solos, students etc are on the load. What the winds are doing, uppers, lowers. If an AFF is going out they tend to need a lot of time to exit. The seperation is there even if they exit after freeflyers. I may send out a high pulling solo belly flyer after a freeflyer. This is not because the high pull gives separation, its because the high pull allows him to get back to the DZ with the correct seperation. There are general rules that work most of the time, with more understanding you can change the general rules to suit the jumpers needs. Anyone can mess up a jump run by flying in all directions. If you are learning to freefly, get a coach who can instruct you how to do it safely. The sames goes for belly flyers Dave Fallschirmsport Marl
Mickochet 0 #53 January 14, 2006 I jump at Skydive Toledo. The exit order for as long as I have been jumping has been RW largest to smallest, FF largest to smallest, Students, AFF, then Tandems. If you never fall down you aren't trying hard enough.
