Has anyone considered the 5th team member on a 4 way? What about your camera guy? I dont fly camera so im not 100% sure if theyre over the top or just off the side but pulling 1st in a 4way might get you a nice close up on the day tape.

When you are below 1000 ft in freefall, without a cypres (I don't have one) you are dead if you turn and track.

I guess when we talk about "low" we have differing thoughts as to what that is. For me, it's sub 1000 ft in freefall at terminal, because I've been there (stupidly) both intentionally and unintentionally.

In this sport, above all else, we are responsible for our own safety first.
If everyone looked after themselves, everyone would be OK. For a camera person to be staring at a 4 way with the ground looming at 1000 ft is unthinkable. In fact, I can't recall a single incident of this scenario developing.

The video on Airtec's site of the four-way going low is from the perspective of a camera person. To a viewer sitting at his computer watching it, the ground looks enormous. Apparently it didn't look the same in freefall [i.e. he was watching the subjects]... so I guess it can/has happen/happened.

Luckily for everybody involved [as previously discussed] the 4-way tracked to cypres fire, quite possibly saving all five lives. If all 3 cypreses [only 3 had them] fired in formation into the face of the cameraman... well.
