Canuck278 0 #1 September 24, 2003 How do i figure out the MLW lenght for a rig that would fit me?? Currently shopping for my fi....i mean...starter rig... Steve Therapy is expensive, popping bubble wrap is cheap.
skybytch 273 #2 September 24, 2003 A simple formula that will give you a number to start from - take your height in inches, subtract your inseam measurement in inches, then subtract 20. Example - I'm 5'8" (68"), with an inseam of 33". 68 - 33 - 20 = 15, so a 15" MLW should fit me well (and it does). Doesn't always work, especially if you don't have an "average" body shape, but it's a good guide to what size might fit you.
Canuck278 0 #3 September 24, 2003 ok mine ended up as a 16..would a 16.5 to 17 be a good fit? Steve Therapy is expensive, popping bubble wrap is cheap.
udder 0 #4 March 1, 2006 sorry to trudge upan old post but I have some questions. im 190cm(74 inches) tall and I have an inseam of 37.5 inches ( I know my body aint too long) What sort of sizing would I be looking at? On the above guide I should be around a C17 which means it opens up a whole lot more containers for me to check out. "In one way or the other, I'm a bad brother. Word to the motherf**ker." SethInMI 174 #5 March 2, 2006 Well I sent my measurements to Sunpath last year when I was rig shopping and they came back with a number that matches skybytch's calc. 75 (6'3) - 36 inseam - 20 = 19 MLW. I was recommended to find a C19 harness. HTH, SethIt's flare not flair, brakes not breaks, bridle not bridal, "could NOT care less" not "could care less".
