Mush 0 #6 April 5, 2006 Sorry to go on So it's not a recomandation by dz.com, or is it? I got the feeling this site leaned towards this direction. But hey, if it's a good set up, why not. Is it about the product ?
mattjw916 2 #7 April 5, 2006 Ad, endorsement, or whatever you want to call it... dz.com is getting _paid_ for it. Personally I find the ads annoying, esp the ones tacked on to PMs. Then again, I'm not interested in their products anyway.NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
Mush 0 #8 April 5, 2006 Matt, I'm with ya dude. I don't mind banner ad's, it's my choice wether to click or not, but when I see clickys in threads I tend to click, just to see whats going on We all do a job & need to get paid for it, so, if your job is to advertise, make clicky ( Paid Advertisement for Aerodyne here) otherwise it seems like this site sides with this product. Or is it just me
kelpdiver 2 #9 April 6, 2006 Quote I don't mind banner ad's, it's my choice wether to click or not, but when I see clickys in threads I tend to click, just to see whats going on that's why advertizers are currently willing to pay a higher price for that sort of placement. People tuned out banner ads 5-6 years ago. Then popups were defeated. Then the money was in ads that lived in the middle of the text you're reading. At least this keywording a little bit better than that. Is it effective advertizing? Not sure. Certainly you don't have to remember how to spell their url correctly. Just find a posting. OTOH, it's a shame that their website is still totally flash dependent. No functionality provided by Macromedia is worth it.
Mush 0 #10 April 6, 2006 I tend to go with self praise is no praise at all. It's all about you guy's & girl's on the ground (so to speak) to tell it the way it is. I'm in the market for a new set up, from what I have read WINGS containers seems to me to be a good start, everything I need & with very good reports here on this site, no inverted advertising, just skydivers giving thier opinions. This is just my choice, but for my main & reserve they will be assesed through this site & demoe'd, It is because of the skydivers here giving thier opinions thet helps me make my choice. Stop being scared people to to say what you feel. If you tell me to ask my instructor, I'll tell you to fuck off.
