HydroGuy 0 #28 April 25, 2006 My B license number is/was bogus. My completed B license test/application was stolen before I ever mailed it into the USPA...I never bothered duplicating the paperwork since my instructor/S&TA knows I have completed my B license requirements and will sign them off for my D license in the future. I always intended to just update my profile when the license came, but I guess it's never coming so I'll change it.Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
Airman1270 0 #29 April 27, 2006 ...I started so long ago that I have jumped some pretty amazingly bad gear, including belly wart reserves, and I have over 50 jumps on round canopies!... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ What's wrong with those belly warts? One of them saved my life on my 14th jump when I couldn't locate my ripcord on a 10-second delay. I knew I was taking too long trying to get the main out so I fired the reserve around 1200'. Yeah, it would have been nice to be able to steer, instead of just oscillating down into the trees, but what's the point of complaining about it now? My first reserve ride, terminal opening, and tree landing. Off I went to the beer store. But I was a bit perplexed by everybody congratulating me for pulling the reserve. I mean, it seemed like a good idea at the time, why would it be newsworthy? Cheers, Jon S.
dbac 0 #30 April 27, 2006 The guy who taught me static line is D-68 and he still jumps/teaches regularly even though he is now older than his licence number. I'm pretty sure he can still do more press ups than I can too. anybody beat that? And yes, I do have nearly 300 jumps and no I don't have a B licence yet. Soon...
