BIGUN 1,486 #2 April 30, 2006 Contact a DZ near you. http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/North_America/United_States/Idaho/index.htmlNobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
NelKel 0 #3 April 30, 2006 It fall on a liability issue. With parental consent some DZ will let you jump at 16 yr. old. Other require you to be 18. The way I understand it is this. Lets say your parent go with you, the plane crashes and all souls are lost. Your parents Insurance company awards your godmother/or an aunt the money to raise your siblings, she can sue the DZ. She is not on the waiver Also a waiver is just a piece of paper, a lawyer could argue it in court and have it ruled inadmissable in a lawsuit. Unless your the child of a skydiver or a DZO's child who has grown up in the skydiving community, and has a real understanding of the risk, IMO the rule should be 18 yrs. NWFlyer 2 #4 April 30, 2006 This thread discussed the topic recently, including info on some places you could possibly go. There's links to other threads as well."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
