Question about jumping again someday

Recommended Posts

I haven't jump in a year now because of a back injury from a car wreck. The Dr. has grounded me until I can have surgery.
So after I can get the surgery and heal up enough to start jumping again,,,,, With doing coach dives, will I break some of the habits
I had picked up or will it be like relearning everything all over again? I've been wanting to say screw the doc and go jump anyway.
But to prevent that I took my rig apart and have everything bagged so even with the temptation I can't jump unless I borrow a rig from
somebody. And since I had only made a couple of jumps since moving to TX I don't know anybody well enough to have them let me borrow
their rig.

I just got back into Skydiving again after a ten year break. After the second jump it was like I had never stopped jumping. It all comes right back and you have about twice the jumps I had, so it will probably be easier for you.

When you're ready to jump, we can get your rig back together in no time flat.. I can't give you any advice on the back injury - how you feel yourself and what the doctor says are what matters - but once you are physically healthy you'll be able to jump your own rig..

thanks guys. Heard from the lawyer today and it's going to take awhile longer to get the case settled.
The woman that casued the wreck is saying she does'nt have to coverage on her insurance. We'll see what happens.
Right now I want to jump so bad I can taste the jet fumes. But I guess it would not be a good idea at this point. Hopefully
I'll get back up again sometime soon.

And thanks for the invite Aggie Dave. Once I get up again, I'll be sure to take a trip down to Houston and make a few jumps w/ you.
