Just got my B lic

Recommended Posts

After many years and many more jumps. I finally decided to go for the B lic test and of course passed it..:)
The hardest part was the water training as one instructor was going to let me pass on this since I had a few water jumps while I was in the military. But I wanted to do it anyway.

What a blast that was in the water and out of the harness in less then a minute.

I would like to thank AJ from Skydive Ft Wayne for his time on that cold rainy day.....;)

I guess its time to go for the C lic now...... just got to find eight people to jump with and get those two points......hahaha...

I am also thinking about going for the coach rating but that is another time....

Just wanted to post this here.......

thanks,

Ken..:)

Is there an advantage in getting the B then C???

Other than to just have it, no. There is no advantage to having the B if you have your C

If you dont have the jump numbers for a C there are advantages to getting the B though as it entitles you to do night jumps and if you are over 100 jumps you can get a coach rating as well.

I just got my C a few weeks ago. Never bothered with the B since I didnt really feel like doing night jumps or beinga coach.

I aint good enough to coach anyone ;)

I guess it depends on the dropzone's strictness regarding qualifications for night jumps, but technically you need either a B or a C on your way to a D.

Some places simply require you to have the jumps and the water training, while some require you to actually have the B license before they'll let you do night jumps.

I didn't get my B-license until I had around 500 jumps, and it was just to do night jumps. Shortly thereafter I skipped the C and got a D. I have no idea what my B number is.

According to USPA you should meet the B-license requirements:

1. Skydivers participating in night jumping should meet all the requirements for a USPA B or higher license.
