Dustyke 0 #1 July 6, 2006 Hi Everyone, I don't know how it is with any other country but here in Belgium we need a medial certificate before we begin with skydiving! I went to my doctor and asked if he could fill in the paper but he rejected! I got a little trouble with my eyes! I have a small shortage to depth visibility, and that's why he wouldn't sign the paper! He told me to go to a doctor, specialized in eye-problems and when they would say that it would be no problem, my doctor would fill in the paper! Problem is: I don't have money for paying another test on my eyes! I did it before, but that was for something else! Now I got a choice, go to another doctor and don't speak about my problem with my eyes! But maybe he will send me to an "eye-doctor" too. :( Now I asked a doctor trough mail if he could send me a medical certificate! He told me before that it would be no problem for me to skydive! Haven't heard from him yet :(
bigway 4 #2 July 6, 2006 In the Uk if you under 40 you can fill the form in yourself. My suggestion is just to fill the form in yourself anyway and get some random to sign it. What do they care? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

If you are looking for advice, ummm, get a job? If you can not afford it.... you can not afford it. If you can not afford to see an eye doctor, you are not going to be able to afford gear, alit, rigs, cypres, canopy, repacks, membership, balh, blah, blah. Get a job. Problem might be solved. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
Zipp0 1 #8 July 6, 2006 Did you ever play other sports or do something requiring decent depth perception with success? People with abnormal or low depth perception can develop a different way of perceiving depth that standard eye tests cannot interpret or register. If you REALLY want to skydive, and you have been able to adapt to other activities (sports, driving, etc) don't let this stop you. I know of a 1 eyed skydiver flying a 90 sq. ft. canopy with precision. -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down. Dustyke 0 #10 July 6, 2006 Thnx for the reply's :) I have no problems with my eyes in daily life, so skydiving should be no problem! Don't worry, I'll get that certificate ;-)
