caspar 0 #1 July 28, 2006 sorry if this seems morbid but i was wondering if anyone has any info on the following. we all know that smaller HP canopies entail a larger amount of risk but i was wondering if there we any statistics of fatalities relating to canopy size. e.g 25% of all fatalities happen under sub 100 sq.ft canopies (or 1.7 WL). i dont know if this really helps us learn in any way but then i think it could be a interesting (possibly useful) stat along with the other stats on the database here on dz.com maybe these stats would help deter people from downsizing too quickly"When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." kelpdiver 2 #2 July 29, 2006 if you look me up in early 2005, I attached an excel sheet listing the past 5 years of landing accidents and as much of the statistical info as was available. WL was usually available, but canopy size less often.
