Zoso 2 #1 August 19, 2006 The latest SIM states that one of the options for aerial performance requirements is: complete at least 2 points on an 8-way or larger random skydive. What do they mean by "random" skydive? (I'd ask USPA but it's Saturday.)
labrys 0 #2 August 19, 2006 I suspect that it means that the intention to complete 2 points doesn't have to be formally declared before the event... but that's just a guess.Owned by Remi #?

Lets see if one of our Board members that post here will jump in and explain that for us. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

It indicates that you have to do a 2 point skidive which consists of recognised formations, not just 8 people clinging for dear life to each other twice You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?

Now if the USPA Board would put something along those lines in the SIM so the newer jumpers who have never competed in 8 way would have some idea what "random" means.Quotenot just 8 people clinging for dear life to each other twice How much more "random" can you get?My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
popsjumper 2 #7 August 21, 2006 QuoteHow much more "random" can you get? ...when the following group decies to leave early and dive on your formation as "guest jumpers"...not funny in my book. ...when one jumper falls out and the others are mentally lost when one slot is open. ...when the entire formation forgets what the next point is supposed to be and makes it up on the fly. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
