dweeb 0 #1 October 28, 2006 I've got 11 jumps so far, including 8 to get through AFF. I need somebody to keep me motivated and for me to motivate her/him. Gonna jump at either Perris or Elsinore tomorrow the 28th. Leaning towards Perris for the price but want to jump Elsinore for the view. Anyone here have an opinion betwwen the two? shermanator 4 #3 October 28, 2006 Oh, and you might want to call both places before you go out.. just to make sure them fires aint stopping the jumping. I heard it was pretty bad a couple days ago.CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #
angrypeppers 1 #4 October 28, 2006 How about someone from your AFF class? I met my jump buddy there, and we're helping each other a lot through our levels. Makes jumping that much more fun too!Burn the land and boil the sea, You can't take the sky from me.

HydroGuy 0 #7 October 28, 2006 Where did you end up going? I like Perris personally... On a weekend, just have manifest make an announcement that you are on solo status looking for someone to jump with...someone will probably step up. On a weekday, ask for the rw load organizer. If it's slow, you'll get a 2 way with someone who can definately help you out.Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
jumpdr 0 #8 October 29, 2006 Do you really need someone to motivate you to go jumping? I find the act of jump itself is motivation enough! Admittedly, once you've got FS1 jumping solo can seem a little pointless and it's much better to jump with other people, but after only 11 jumps, you can't be bored already?! Skydiving is more than a sport and more than a job: skydiving is pure passion and desire which will fill a lifetime.
dweeb 0 #9 October 29, 2006 I went out to Elsinore. Jumped 3 times, including a coached jump with Brandon. It was nice up there. I haven't flown with that many people in the plane since my AFF-2. It was fun.
dweeb 0 #10 October 29, 2006 Yeah, I do need some help being motivated. I'm horribly shy until I get to know you, so when my home DZ is closed for whatever reason, I have a hard time going to one of the others because I don't know anyone there. jojo69 0 #11 October 29, 2006 I suffer from social phobia. It is the same for me when I go someplace were I don't know people. I have found that telling the people at manifest is the easiest way to get someone to jump with. I also found that once I stated my couch jumps, my couch would introduce me to people that were the same level or a little better to jump with. It is not easy for people who are not socially forward to feel comfortable when going someplace alone. You should try to hang around after your jumps and talk with the people at the DZ. They are usually open to being social after the business of jumping is done. It is not always easy but lessons you will learn listening to the stories being told makes it all worth it.
