flyusa 0 #1 November 18, 2006 Does anyone know of any country which requires the use of an AAD when skydiving? Like Mexico maybe? There are many in government who have a very simple tax proposal in mind. There will be only two lines on the tax form: 1-How much did you make last year? 2-Send it. Hmm maybe it was because I jump camera then But "RSL or AAD" is a very stupid rule IMO, as they do 2 totally different things one cannot replace the other. ciel bleu, Saskia

riggerrob 643 #9 November 19, 2006 Canada has long required AADs for students and people who don't have an A Certificate. However - for licensed jumpers - AADs are mandatory at some DZs, but not all. For example, AADs are mandatory at the larger DZs in Quebec. At the start of 2006, Ian Flanagan announced that AADs were mandatory for sub-B Certificate holders at his DZs near Vancouver, Calgary and Niagara. IanHarrop 42 #11 November 19, 2006 This information is dated (from 2003) but it gives you an idea of what the requirements are (or were). http://www.velocidadvertical.com/attachs/AADReport2003.pdf"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
