In the lower left corner, the guy that's twisted around backwards under his canopy has something hanging down under his right leg. What is it?
NWFlyer 2 #2 December 5, 2006 Looks to me like it might be an unzipped wingsuit, though it's hard to tell from that angle and I can't see any fabric on his arms. Could also be a tube that he's stuffed between his legs. I happened to have it sitting on my desk, so I pulled a quick scan ... not the greatest quality but maybe someone will have a better idea than I do of what's trailing behind him."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. NewGuy2005 53 #4 December 5, 2006 That makes sense, but he's got short sleeves and short legs on his pants. Would that rule out a wingsuit? Don't know much about it.
ZigZagMarquis 9 #5 December 5, 2006 ... either that or he got his legs out of his booties / legs of his jumpsuit. Some jumpsuits have zips that go all the way to your knees, I gues if you undid them you get get your feet / legs out of your booties and out of the "pants legs" of your jumpsuit once under canopy easily... I've never tired it though, never felt the need to... but my guess would be more likely its an un-zipped wingsuit.
NewGuy2005 53 #6 December 5, 2006 If you get a magnifying glass, it looks like he's holding a small giftwrapped box up between the risers. Hmmmm

You're seeing the shorts and t-shirt he's wearing under the wingsuit. If he's completely unzipped it, the arms and legs of the wingsuit would just be hanging loose (the zippers run all the way from the wrist to the shoulder and from the foot to the hip on a wingsuit, I believe - I've never flown one but I have seen plenty of people walking back from landing with one completely unzipped)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. The111 1 #8 December 5, 2006 It is indeed a wingsuit, the new Mach 1 from Tony Suits to be specific. I took the photo. QuoteIf you get a magnifying glass, it looks like he's holding a small giftwrapped box up between the risers Good eye. That is a camera. Look at this picture and you will see the camera more clearly (in his left hand). I have a much higher resolution image at home, I could post later if I remember. I do not remember any gift-wrapping though. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
NWFlyer 2 #9 December 5, 2006 Just wanted to say that this is a COOL shot! On topic, it'll also give NewGuy2005 a good idea of what an unzipped wingsuit looks like. That's Jeff Nebelkoph (Heffro1 on here) from right here at Z-hills, and yes, he is flying a wingsuit. it's all unzipped and flapping since he is under canopy. The111 1 #17 December 6, 2006 QuoteThose photos are stunning. The colours are so vivid... how do you do that? Nothing specific, just pay close attention to each shot, and everything that goes into it. All the little things add up. A lot of it is done in camera (photographically), and a small amount of it is done in post-processing (digitally). Thanks for the kind words.www.WingsuitPhotos.com
