Remster 30 #52 January 12, 2007 Quote we have an overhead view of the DZ and surrounding areas divided up with a grid. Boxes on the grid sell for $10. If the person goes in in your box you win the pool. Thats not right.... I mean, it just seams too complicated. ZigZagMarquis 9 #55 January 12, 2007 HIL, Quote I locked the thread because a lot of people were attacking you. Rather than turn the thread into a flamefest I deleted the attacks, replied to you assuming you were for real, and locked the thread. If this is a big joke for you, then good for you. Hopefully it will amuse you, and you will chuckle at how you made all those stupid DZ.commers worry. If you are seriously asking these questions, then I hope you get the help you need to survive your mistakes. I'm sure you don't consider me a "real skydiver" so find someone reliable at your DZ and ask them the same questions. The life you save may be your own. What Bill said... WORD! cocheese 0 #58 January 12, 2007 These people are so mean to you. You're not going to die under canopy. It most likely will happen on the way to the dz.Drive safe kiddo.
RogerRamjet 0 #59 January 12, 2007 Geeze, this thread is almost an exact duplicate of one from just a few months ago. stayhigh 2 #60 January 12, 2007 These people are so mean to you. You're not going to die under canopy. people are usually okay when they are directly underneath the canopy,, but when you have canopy to the side or to the front of your body when you land that is when bad shit happens...Bernie Sanders for President 2016
hookitt 1 #61 January 12, 2007 My reply is based on if you are for real. Quote I know my risks, ... No you don't. You can't know what you don't know. Since you don't know, but you believe you know, don't die or break yourself too badly long enough until you actually do. All you know is there are risks. You are choosing to take them. Calculated risks are one thing. Just doing something because you can, is another. 75 jumps and jumping a higly loaded stiletto is not a calculated risk. Good luck.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
cocheese 0 #62 January 12, 2007 Oh. Yea. He won't do that. He's been reading up on it. Looks like he has enough advice. Time to try it out. He knows all the risks and has accepted them.

cocheese 0 #65 January 12, 2007 He has 75 jumps and lived just fine. All he has to do is take it easy the first two or three jumps on it. Then it's on!!! Why waste all that money on downsizing slowly. All ya have to do is react in time and flare.
wildfan75 1 #66 January 12, 2007 Hook It Low... Do me a favor...when you have a no wind landing, have someone video it and have them post it here (after the investigators are done with it of course). I'd like to see it.
kimemerson 7 #67 January 12, 2007 Doesn't much matter how much experience someone has when they're right. It's the message not the messenger that counts. Get the bug out of your ass and drop the ego shit. You're a dangerously low number beginner in this sport, a fact you may not appreciate till it's a tad late, at the rate you're going. If you want to commit suicide be my guest. It's your right I suppose. Just leave the planet without besmirching the sport, ok? If you die excercising your rights the Feds will come asking the living a lot of questions and one of them will be "why" as in why we let you. Then they'll get support enough to legislate us out of our own fun. So go die somewhere else. But go ahead if you're so inclined, die. The sport has gotten too safe anyway. sundevil777 102 #68 January 12, 2007 Quote I mean, it just seams too complicated. Do you have to use Garmin GPS's to properly determine the location of the divit? I wonder if it is the first point of contact that matters, or perhaps the final resting place that determines the winner. Maybe it gets divided up between the grids that were traversed.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
Hayfield 0 #69 January 12, 2007 Man I hope you are joking. If you're not then wow, nice Anaken Skywalker attitude (boo-hoo the council is holding me back from my greatness). When you have to land out in somebody's backyard, between the power lines and the trees, it will be too late for second thoughts. I've visited the broken product of a low turn/blown landing in the critical care wing once already-he couldnt wipe his own ass at first and now hobbles with a cane. Did you know that people tend to release their bladder and intestine's contents when badly injured? FYI: he is an experienced jumper who flew a conservatively loaded canopy, unlike you-who will likely get fucked up much worse than he did At the ranch there is a guy who sells t-shirts that say "Got Titanium?" Maybe you should pre-order one. And if you ever visit the ranch, check out the wall of pain (has photos of those broken and bent) it is a sobering reminder of the price of fuckups. We're all gonna die sometime, why try to accelerate the inevitable for yourself, or worse yet, take out somebody else? P.S. Do us all (real skydivers, students, noobs, x-whuffos and wanna bees) a favor and post your name so we can scratch ourselves off loads you may happen to be on in the future. Again, if this isn't a joke, I really hope you survive without requiring a wooden ramp be built to let you in your home. jarrodh 0 #70 January 12, 2007 Man, after I read the thread title then the author, I cringed. Honestly I dont know what to make of all this. I still think this guy is a troll and sadly I thought my PRIVATE!!!! message wouldnt enable the guy to stir up more controversy but I thought wrong apparently. Quote So I would like to say to JarrodH : Thank you for looking out for me. Thank you for your concern. But most of all, thank you for bestowing your infinite skydiving knowledge on me. At no point did I relay any knowledge on you that you or anyone else in the skydiving community doesnt already know. I still and never will waiver in my belief that loading a canopy at 1.66 at 75 jumps is suicidal. I know my place in the community as a "n00b". I have and will never try to teach or give advice to anyone on this site that has more experience/knowledge then me . If you look at my posts on these forums that arent in the Bonfire/SC then you will see that I only ask questions or provide quotes from the SIM, I never try to bestow my "infinite knowledge" on anyone. Quote I too am a NOOB, but at least I am not pretending to be a SkyGod like our poor little friend from Florida, who shall remain nameless from now on. I really dont understand why you think I am a SkyGod. At no point have I ever tried to convey I actually know what I am doing in the air or under canopy. I merely sent a quite harsh PRIVATE!!!! message to a suspected troll that was full information you already know, that jumping that small of canopy at your experience level is not a good choice. Anyone that has completed the First Jump Course would be able to tell you that. If one of you moderators could delete or lock this thread I would appreciate it. There is nothing more to llearn from this thread and it has embarassed me enough already. I think Im gonna refrain from posting or even PM'ing anyone for a while.
