HookItLow 0 #1 January 12, 2007 thank you all again for the flaming. A special thanks to Davelepka : " Hey, I've been jumping for 12 years, and have 4500+ jumps. Am I experienced engough to call you an asshole? Here's the quick version - your rationale regarding your canopy choice, and how it pretains to risk management is way off. Yes, skydiving is dangerous, but thanks to the jumpers who came beofre you, it is now possible to follw a course of action that will help to minnimize that risk, and afford you the oppertunity to live a long and healthy life, while making as many jumps as want. If you choose not to follow the mainstream path, you're literally taking your life into your own hands, and not in a 'ccol' or 'daring' way. All things coinsidered, keep it up. The process of natural selection will come into play, and eventually keep you away from the DZ, and quite possible keep you from walking or wiping your own ass for the rest of your life. For a douche like you, that sounds about right. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE cut and paste this into a post. Be fair, and put this experienced jumpers ideas up for all to see. " All of the other PM's were mostly flames as well, so thanks for those. There were a couple of good heartfelt PM's though, genuine concern and stuff like that. Definitely the exception to what can only be referred to as HATE mail. You all jump at my throat so quickly, like rabid dogs. Short of a few of you who see a new jumper looking for some guidance. I jumped a 120 once. Now I'm being accused of SWOOPING? Moving down to even SMALLER canopies? You people are idiots. This site is full of idiots. I flew it in straight on a low wind day. Its like flying a 170 for god's sake. If there are high winds or no winds IM not gonna jump it. And I sure as hell am not SWOOPING the fucken thing you dolts. There are many circumstances that I know of that are definitely not a good idea to fly that canopy. But sorry to say, if there are ideal conditions, i'm gonna practice on it. Im gonna get good at it through practice. Until someone invents a virtual parachute system. I'm not gonna be anywhere near anyone as I choose to be last out and pull high to play with the thing. You can all cry about your own safety, but it doesnt apply here. I AM NOT SWOOPING. I am only "endangering" myself to try to be a good canopy pilot. I am landing straight in approach following the relative pattern that applies. I see a lot of people who SUCK at canopy flight, who hurt themselves early on and now they are trying to PROHIBIT me from achieving my goals. What I don't see a lot of, is constructive critism and open minds. Stop crying to me about how people like me are giving YOUR sport a bad name. You've all do a fine job FUCKING this sport up long before I came along, and long after Im gone. BOUNCE BINGO ???? Yah thats a GREAT WAY to get through to people. I do feel important though. jkbernstein 1 #5 January 12, 2007 Yes, HH posted in your thread. And it's very clear from this second thread that you didn't hear a word he said - nor anything anyone else said for that matter. It's not just your canopy choice that's gonna kill you; it's your attitude. I just hope that you don't take anyone else with you when you go.
IanHarrop 42 #6 January 12, 2007 This is the statement that, in my judgement, shows your lack of understanding about canopy flying the best. With regard to flying a 120 you state "Its like flying a 170 for god's sake." Sorry this is simply untrue. BSBD Edit to add; Read some of this http://www.dropzone.com/fatalities/ experienced jumpers on smaller canopies die a lot. Inexperienced jumpers should not be jumping smaller canopies"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

Not at my DZ you wont and I do have the power to keep you on the ground, so don't ever bother coming to where I jump.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. bigway 4 #8 January 12, 2007 I got $50 Someone should start an official paypal account up for bingo. Thing is my 50 goes on this guy being a troll while at the same time not having enough money to be able to afford a canopy. If you do own this canopy, please tell me the serial number to verify you are not a troll. P.s. there is a huge difference in a 150 to a 129/135, so saying there is no difference in a 170 down to a 120 is just plain bullshit. I suppose you jump on your own at the dz? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Your problem seem to be that you don't understand the difference. Take a little time out.Safe swoops Sangiro
