floridadiver81 0 #1 January 13, 2007 I did a search and to no avail. Im am wondering if the AFF dive flow cards are universal or if they change from DZ to DZ. I was supposed to work all day tomorrow but as it turns out im only working half of the day..which should give me enough time to get o the dz to do my level 2 aff. Im wondering if there is a post somewhere or a site somewhere that has the AFF dive flows for each jump....just so i can try and at least get the dive flow down before i head out there tomorrw.....just trying to get a little ahead. And if so i know i will sure ask the instructor if it is right before i jump it...as anyone should do when trying something new. AggieDave 6 #2 January 14, 2007 The dive flows do vary slightly from DZ to DZ, but the information you're really looking for is in the USPA SIM. http://www.uspa.org As a student skydiver you really need a copy of the SIM, be it downloaded or printed out or a bound copy that you bought. Personally I like to buy the bound copy just because its easier to carry in my gear bag and use.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." NWFlyer 2 #4 January 14, 2007 This is a cool flash demo of Skydive Elsinore's program. It will give you some info about what to expect, but I think you would be better off asking your DZ for a copy of their dive flows since every DZ does it a little differently. YOu could waste a lot of time memorizing the Elsinore ones and find that the ones at your DZ are different. Still, it's a cool animation. http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/jumpstart/index.html"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. tdog 0 #5 January 14, 2007 floridadiver81, Don't worry about memorizing anything.... I say this seriously. As I have seen so many people spend so much time memorizing the details they don't see the big picture and how simple it is. Then they get in the sky and get all nervous because they did one of the small details out of order... For an example, at our DZ, our AFF level 2 is pretty much the first half of a Level 1... Then we add, "altitude-turn, altitude-turn, altitude-forward." Try saying that with a little bit of white boy rap, and you will see how easy it is to memorize a dive. Now, your level 2 dive flow likely will be completely different, but just say it with some rhythm when your instructor tells you what to do, make it a dance, and it is so easy to remember. So relax. Don't stay up all night studying.
floridadiver81 0 #6 January 14, 2007 I will take your advice to heart. I should have asked for the dive flows cards when i did level 1..just to get familiar with them. As alwasy...i know..listen to the instructors"Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! Having it set in your mind during the week, between your jumps, helps considerably. If you should have to ask what your next level dive flow is for the level, dont be affraid to before they run off to the next student......
