SurfFlite 0 #4 September 15, 2003 We are working on it. But since they are produced in a 3rd world country, things happen slow. We have tons of feedback now and we WILL make it better. It is just too good of an idea to let die.Kerry
peek 21 #5 September 15, 2003 Vladimir was living in the St. Louis area a few years ago when he was developing the Vladiball. I had the pleasure of (I think) being in one of the first groups of people to fly with it. Very neat design. There was section of the device on the first model that had a weakness in the plastic, and the costs were huge for getting the tooling changed to the mold to improve it. Last I heard he is using his own money for this so it is taking a long time. When it becomes available I think you will really like it, and it is a device that nearly any DZO will be comfortable letting you use.
SurfFlite 0 #6 September 15, 2003 The mold that is used now cost ~$1000 to make. Maybe that doesn't seem like much here in the US but when the average monthly wage for a typical Serbian (formerly Yugoslavian) moldmaker is $120/month it equates to almost 1 years salary. That's why I love the great USA, we can make more than $120/month doing most anything. Maybe even skydiving.Kerry
sducoach 0 #7 September 16, 2003 Wasn't this the guy that was working with Tamara a few years ago. Jumped in Quincy with Tamara and saw the ball then. Great design. Blues, J.E. PS, Now that picture looks a little more "recent"!James 4:
