brettski74 0 #4 February 19, 2007 CSPA membership is CAD$84 per year for a regular member or CAD$97 for a member at large, which is essentially someone who doesn't have a home DZ. Last time I was in Australia, I seem to recall paying around AUD$33 or so for a 3 month APF membership to jump there.
DougH 270 #5 February 19, 2007 USPA up is July.... One club was 30 dollars for first time reg. One club is going to be 50. And I think another club may run me around 85."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
Chris-Ottawa 0 #6 February 19, 2007 Do you guys mean that the clubs themselves charge a fee? I'm assuming these are non USPA or CSPA etc clubs right? The only fees I pay are $84 for my CSPA membership. One jumper above said he pays $350 in dues each year. That is insane! Thanks for the clarification... Chris"When once you have tasted flight..." Legs 0 #7 February 19, 2007 I see the UK membership is over double the US membership. What does your membership include? I know the BPA has had a hell of a time renewing the 3rd party insurance we all enjoy as members. We also get a quaterly glossy thats OK, but would be cheaper and more responsive as an internet Magazine / members area. Other than these benefits and the obvious (You have to have it to jump) It is the self regulating body of skydivers that gives the CAA reason to allow skydiving in the UK. How about the U.S.?With love in Christ

bob.dino 1 #9 February 19, 2007 If I remember correctly, the Australian Parachute Federation renewal last year was AUD 215 (or AUD 198 if you renewed promptly). That's about USD 165 or USD 155.
Eule 0 #10 February 22, 2007 QuoteWould be good to hear from each country on what their membership is. The quick answer for USPA is US$51 for a new membership within the US or to renew a long-expired one and $49 to renew a current or recently-expired one. Foreign memberships are $60/$58 respectively. Figures are from the application in the February 2007 Parachutist. For this you get 12 months of the magazine via standard mail and third-party liability insurance; I'm not sure offhand what amount the insurance covers. The insurance only covers "regular" jumps - for demos you have to get insurance separately. At today's rates, US$51 is about... £26 1s 8d (or even £26.12) €39 60 snow pesos (Canadian $) AUS $65 NZ $73 If you have an instructor rating, that costs an additional $20 to renew, and a PRO rating (for doing demo jumps) costs an additional $13.25 to renew. You can get a lifetime membership that includes the magazine but not rating renewals. Fun fact: at £152.10 a year and today's rates, three years of BPA membership is worth a lifetime USPA membership ($800)! If I jumped in the UK, I'd consider all the options. :) EulePLF does not stand for Please Land on Face.
Thijs 0 #11 February 25, 2007 QuoteOurs is 180 EUR 180 is with insurance, 100 if it is just club membership and you are already insured elsewhere.
Tonto 1 #12 February 25, 2007 In SA we have 1. PASA membership 2. Aeroclub membership 3. Club membership Licence, Instructional and Pro Rating renewal is free if done at the start of the season. If you're a member of only one club, membership comes to around R1000, or about $140 per year. Jumps cost around $24 to 11000ft, so annual membership is around 6 jumps. Not too bad for me since I do around 350 a year, so it's a small percentage. tIt's the year of the Pig.
