Superman32 0 #1 March 18, 2007 I think that most of us would not even think about buying a canopy or container (from a stranger) without getting it checked out by a rigger, aside from any claims the seller may be making. So the question is, how do you buy a used aad? Should you send it back to the manuf. for a check up? Are riggers able to test them? do you just trust the self diagnostic? Just trust the seller? I would like to believe, that we are a big happy family, looking out for each other's best interest and safety, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Wouldn't it be nice if it were? karenmeal 0 #2 March 18, 2007 I would trust the self checks that the AAD does when you turn it on. Besides that though.. most people choose to sell their AADs when they are due (or a bit over-due) for a check-up (4 or 8 year) so you could just pick one of those up, send it in for a service and not have any worries about the integrity of the device.
