yoink 321 #1 March 26, 2007 Particularly looking for UK opinions on what travel insurance company you guys are using? Columbus Insurance no longer cover skydiving - parachuting is covered, but apparently any freefall invalidates the insurance. The Sports Cover Direct from the BPA site wants nearly J300 for a week long holiday - and the BHPA have a 150% excess for skydiving - that one comes out at just under 100 quid for 10 days. who are you guys using for cover? wonder2006 0 #3 March 26, 2007 I've just taken out the Extreme Plus insurance for travelling - covers world wide, and about £60 for the year if I remember correctly (do a search, as it's been discussed on here recently - as well as on UKSkydiver.co.uk). Before that I used Endsleigh for individual trips. User Harrison & Beaumont to cover all my gear - and just had to claim from them for the first time, which went through with minimal effort, which was a nice surprise as you never know how easy it is going to be! damion75 0 #4 March 26, 2007 Etravelinsure.com Details are on the BPA website. Their knowledge of the sport seemed significantly greater than most other insurers (you'll see what I mean) and I paid £81 for the year worldwide. It would have been less but I included winter sports and took the all bells and whistles gold version.*************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. RandomLemming 0 #5 March 26, 2007 I use endsleigh (http://www.endsleigh.com/) when I'm jumping out of the UK. They cover skydiving, I can buy just for the period I am going away, and all foreign DZs I've been at recognise them.

skytash 0 #7 March 26, 2007 I also used etravelinsurance and am paying less than £80 per year - no wintersports and not as many of the bells and whistles referred to although I do have worldwide cover. I was so astounded by the price I called them to make sure I had understood it properly. The guy I spoke to explained that his understanding of skydiving is that the chance of an injury is relatively low, so why not include it. Not sure if anyone has claimed from them, so the pudding for the proof hasn't been eaten yet to my knowledge. tashDon't ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is a special occasion. damion75 0 #8 March 27, 2007 No winter sports? Tash you tease! What impressed me about the company was the detail. The website specifically includes: No jump number limit Jumps of any discipline (how many insurers know that there is more than one?!) Up to and including amateur competition level I hope never to call on them, but so far the deal is sweet... *************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus.
