OSOK 0 #1 April 9, 2007 Anyone that uses either a 201 or 101, how do you use it? The Paralog website says to turn off the GPS after landing and NOT save the track. However, when you go jump again, won't the track get overwritten? Any help appreciated.
LouDiamond 1 #2 April 9, 2007 Check out page 29 in the Garmin users manual here. It coves how to set up your receiver and how the tracks are stored. Make sure you turn your receiver on while on the ground and allow it to get at least 4 satelites locked before getting on the aircraft. It also helps to mark the pea pit or landing area as a waypoint for use later on. Once you land, turn the unit off. For subsequent jumps, repeat the above process."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

KRBKV 0 #4 April 10, 2007 QuoteHowever, when you go jump again, won't the track get overwritten? By me all worked as it describes on the Paralog's website. I was using Fortrex 101. Each jump was downloaded very accurately from the exit to the landing. Just place your device to the window as close as it possible.
