virgin-burner 1 #1 April 8, 2007 yesterday i had spent the day at the dropzone i want to do my aff.. first, i just stood there, watched them land, then one student got some of his tasks signed off, then i asked him what it was about.. he replied nicely to me, then just went on going to talk to nearly everyone there, most of the instructors, jumpers, everything.. they have a cool plane too, a PAC 750XL if i'm right.. eventually went to get my dog from the car, let her run around and annoy people, everyone welcomed us both really nice.. i did ask A LOT of questions, from packing to jumping, to experience levels.. everything answered nicely! had two beers i bought myself from the bar, when the sun set and they got a case of beer for the jumpers, they even invited me to have one with them.. SO, i think i'm quite positive about starting my aff at www.paraclub.ch !! cool place to go to, beautiful scenery from 12'000ft as its in the heart of switzerland, overlooking four lakes, plus a major part of the alps..“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. pincheck 0 #7 April 8, 2007 will have a look but getting a direct flight out is a nightmare can get to spend the whole day flying easy enough rather than a 2 hour direct flight Well good luck getting yourself qualified and sorted for the summer Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
virgin-burner 1 #8 April 8, 2007 i'll try my hardest.. might even have my license by then! just for the records, coming from geneva to beromünster will be like an at least two hours drive, rather three, while from basel, one hour seems to be plenty..“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. pincheck 0 #10 April 9, 2007 no worries about the distance quite used to having to make long journeys to Jump as my dz is about 1 or just over to get to and everything else is over 3 hours thats what happens when you live in the wrong part of the country but thanks for the heads up on distances and times had a feeling it would be something like that but nice to have it confirmed Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
popsjumper 2 #11 April 9, 2007 Getting to drive for 3 hours through the beautiful Swiss country side????? ...and that's a problem?????My reality and yours are quite different. virgin-burner 1 #12 April 9, 2007 its not a problem, but driving on the autobahn is not so cool, if you want to see nice views, better stay on second or third class roads..“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. ZigZagMarquis 9 #14 April 9, 2007 Good on ya! Welcome aboard!! Keep a close eye on your pooch around the DZ though... nothing will get you on the "black list" like your dog takin' a wizz on someone's gear. At most places, no amount of beer will buy you out of that.
virgin-burner 1 #15 April 10, 2007 i'm having quite a strict hand on hers and she's well trained.. and i'm used on having one eye on her at all times.. uhm, getting spring started, i'm getting my amount of hay fever again.. if i take my medication, i'm quite alright, still have a blocked nose quite a bit.. thats not a good thing skydiving, is it!?“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. ZigZagMarquis 9 #16 April 10, 2007 yeah, you don't want to skydive in your sinuses are plugged up. the altitude change can cause you to rupture a nasal passage or ear drum, either, not good.

The Ranch used to have something posted about them "not being responsible for the safety, nor the corruption" of peoples kids brought to the DZ.
